Lugana is located south of Lake Garda, the largest lake in Italy.

And Lugana DOC is a rare DOC that straddles the provinces of Brescia in Lombardy and Verona in Veneto.

The variety has been said to be Trebbiano di Soave (Trebbiano di Lugana), but recent DNA analysis has shown that it is not related to the Trebbiano variety💦.
The variety is now renamed Turpiana ‼️.

It has a lovely straw color, but with a sharp acidity that is not stinging. It is a dry white wine with abundant minerality and a very elegant and complex flavor.
